We are thrilled to congratulate Benjamin Connor, who has been chosen as a second recipient of the 2024/2025 Michael Collyer Memorial Fellowship in Screenwriting for a very good reason – Josh Leong’s script LOST BOYS is now headed into production! As a result, the Writers Guild Initiative has decided to award two fellowships for the 2024/2025 Fellowship season! Cheers to LOST BOYS and to our ADDITONAL Collyer Fellow for the 2024/2025 Fellowship season! Thank you to our partners at The Black List for another year of this program!
Here’s a bit more about Benjamin: He’s a screenwriter, playwright, and translator from Wilmington, Delaware. He is the writer of the short films GOOD FRIEND and I’M VERY VERY SORRY, and his stage work has been developed at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, Green Room 42, the Delaware Theater Company, and Wichita State University. Ben is a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and the English-language translator for the French musical comedy writing team Vidal & Salvia. He lives in Brooklyn.
And, we’ve still got more good news to share: Submissions for the 2025/2026 Michael Collyer Memorial Fellowship in Screenwriting will open ONE WEEK FROM TODAY! Mark your calendars, writers – this is an incredible opportunity for an emerging screenwriter under the age of 25.
