Jason Rowell, who participated in our 2015 San Antonio Workshops, has written movingly about how his service dog, Harley, changed his life. From barely leaving his house due to severe PTSD to learning to navigate everything from gas stations to Alcatraz, Jason’s workshop writing has been moving and exciting.
Recently, he joined the WGI and WWP in Washington, D.C. for a reading at the Kennedy Center. When we heard his stories from his trip, we asked him to write something for the website. Give it a look!
Spoiler alert: Jason and Harley end up in the White House, and also might have saved a life in the airport! Yes, it was quite a trip and, thanks to Jason’s writing, it’s quite a read.
